Carrie shares, Darryl in stitches & Reba reveals
Carrie Underwood is promoting Sync, a new drink from Vitamin Water and to help, she, along with other artists have created a MySpace playlist showing her eclectic tastes in music. These songs, according to Carrie, (‘Everlong,’ by the Foo Fighters, ‘Forever and Ever, Amen,’ Randy Travis, ‘Down the Road,’ Kenny Chesney with Mac McAnally and ‘Clumsy,’ Our Lady Peace and a few others) are the ones she likes to listen to when she’s getting ready to go out. Other artists who’ve contributed playlists for Vitamin Water recently include Alicia Keys and 50 Cent but neither have included any country music on their lists.
If you happen to see Darryl Worley over the next few days, aside from his tall frame & warm smile, you’ll also notice a bandaid on his forehead. Worley was injured last week during his concert in Montana when strong winds sent a road case lid crashing into him. Paramedics treated him at the scene, but he still had to go to the hospital to get stitched up. But that didn’t stop him from returning to the stage less than an hour later to resume his show for the 800+ fans who stuck around. Worley’s new album, ‘Sounds Like Life,’ is set for release on June 9 via his new label home, Stroudavarious Records.
Reba McEntire recently revealed some fun tidbits about herself. In spite of (or perhaps because of?) her acting debut in the creepy-crawler comedy-horror film, ‘Tremors,’ Reba admits she’s deathly afraid of snakes. And, if you invite Reba over for dinner, don’t bother serving liver — she hates it.
The Country Music Hall of Fame inducted Barbra Mandrell on Sunday. The legendary lady who “was country when country wasn’t cool,” helped bring the genre to the masses. Barbara Mandrell — singer, actress, dancer and recipient of more than 75 industry awards — is now immortalized in the Nashville museum, commemorating her illustrious 38+ year career.
You may remember yesterday’s story about Darius Rucker helping out his friend… well we found out today that one of Ruckers contracts wont allow for him to play in Manchester that close to another date he has… so the singer is working on another date for the show. I’ll keep ya posted.
